Dorothy Kitts Bopp of Robinson Tract in Pulaski County, died Sunday February 28, 2010. The sunset of Dorothy's life came peacefully with her three children gathered around her. She was born in Bland County as the first child to the late Stella Burton Kitts and Charles H. Kitts. In her early years, she was a second mother to her two sisters, Nancy K. Bradshaw of Ridgeway and June K. Leftwich of Bassett. She graduated from Willis High School, moved to Bassett with her parents and worked at DuPont in Martinsville. She later married Carl Anthony Bopp and moved to Pulaski to make her permanent home on Robinson Tract. She owned and operated the Gator Mart Grocery Store on Robinson Tract Road for many years, and was of the Episcopal faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Anthony Bopp. Her three children are Sue Anthony Bopp of Chester, Charles R. Bopp and his wife Kathy of Pulaski and Lynn Bopp Huff of Roanoke. She was grandmother "Nannie" to Erin August Craig, Robert and Rebecca Bopp, and the great-grandmother of six: Hannah Laurel, Lucas Anthony and Allyson Grace Bopp; and John Wyatt, Caroline August and Anna Katherine Craig.

A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday March 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Rowland officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visiting will be held Wednesday at the funeral home from 12 Noon until 2:00 p.m., where her family requests that her many friends join them.
