Mark Steven "Tic" Looney, 47 of Maxie, died Wed. Feb. 3 2010 at his home following a brief illness.
Born in Buchanan Co., VA he was the son of Pauline Clevinger Looney of Maxie and the late Clarence Randall Looney. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan Co., was a general laborer and a member of Harman Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arlin and Exie Clevinger and Harrison and Sarah Ann Looney.
He is survived by three sons, Bryan Anthony and wife Trenia Looney, and Randall Steven Looney both of Maxie and Jesse Charles of Big Rock; one step-daughter Sandra McCoy of Haysi; two step-sons James McCoy and Ricky McCoy both of Haysi; three sisters Donna and husband Dewey Looney of Grundy, Sandra Looney of Las Vegas, NV and Tammy Looney Faust of Jefferson, GA; one brother Randy and wife Shelia Looney of Maxie; three grandchildren Logan, Madison, and Talen Looney all of Maxie; and five nieces Shawna Lester, Sheena Looney, Julie Looney, Sara Looney and Alyssa Lester.
Funeral services were conducted Sat. Feb. 6th at Harman Memorial Baptist Church with the Revs. Shea Shrader, Lee Upchurch and Evg. Dennis Wimmer officiating. Burial followed in Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA.
Grundy Funeral Home of Grundy was in charge of arrangements.
