Florence L Chronister

FIorence L. Chronister, 81, of 595 Biglerville Road, Gettysburg, died Sunday, Jan. 4.

Born Feb. 13, 1916 in Gladys, Va., she was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Annie Morre Bly. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles H. Chronister in 1989.

She was a member of York Springs United Methodist Church, and Gettysburg Moose Ladies Auxiliary.

She was employed as a cashier at Varsity Diner for several years.

She is survived by one daughter, Audrey L. Maust of Aspers: one son, Gilbert E. Chronister of Biglerville; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Emily Thomas of Greencastle, and Gladys Martin of Heidlersburg.

She was predeceased by one son, C. Eugene Chronister in 1983.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, in York Springs United Methodist Church, with the Rev. David Brinker officiating.

Interment will be in Bendersville Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, in Dugan Funeral Home Inc., Bendersville.
