C. Eugene Chronister, 49, 0f Aspers R.1., died suddenly at 11 p.m. Saturday at the Gettysburg Hospital.

He was born in Adams County and resided in the county his entire life, son of Charles H. and Florence L. (Bly) Chronister of Aspers.

Mr. Chronister had been an employee of the Duffy Mott Co. Inc. of Aspers for 31 years; a 1952 graduate of Biglerville High School and was a member of the Moose Lodge In Gettysburg.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Doris I. (Heller) Chronister, to whom he was married for 30 years; two daughters: Joyce Rowlef of Aspers R.1. and Mrs. Betty Cease of Aspers R.1.; a sister: Mrs. Audrey Maust of Aspers; one brother: Gilbert E. Chronister of Biglerville R.2.; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services held Wednesday from the Dugan Funeral Home in Bendersville, with the Rev. Amos Myers, officiating. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery.
