She and Frank Perkins wanted to be married but her father forbid it. After Olive's father's death in February of 1923, she went to her oldest living brother, Carlos and asked if he would give permission to be married. He agreed and she and Frank Clemens Perkins were married on October 13, 1923 in St. George. Frank was 27 years older than Olive.
Olive was put into a mental hospital in Provo, Utah in 1928 and Frank was left alone to care for himself. He was blind and had a hard time, so Carlos brought him back to Cedar City so he could help him. Frank passed away on April 13, 1929 and was buried in an unmarked grave in the Cedar City Cemetery. Olive lived nine more years before she passed away at age 54 in 1939. She was buried in the Cedar City Cemetery beside her husband.
