He was born on Nov.1, 1928, in Luray and was a son of the late Howard C. and Esther Mae Campbell Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins was a carpenter for Avery Construction.
On Feb. 14, 1947, he married the former Elizabeth Jane Nichols, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Sue Cash of Luray; a son, Ronald Keith Jenkins of Luray; six brothers, Robert W. 'Tinker', Howard J. Melvin E., Glenn L. and Joseph L. Jenkins, all of Luray and Elwood D. Jenkins of Sperryville; two sisters, Edith E. Lillard and Virginia Richards, both of Luray; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Virgil 'Buddy', Lynwood Walter and George Kenneth Jenkins.
Burial in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Luray.
