Jake Long passed away at his home at the age of 73. He was born to Jake A. and Stella L. Prather Long and had lived in Reno for the past 25 years, coming from Fort Worth, TX. Jake was a purchasing agent for General Dynamics Lockheed for 22 years, retiring in 1973. He was a member of the Reno Christian Fellowship and attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. Jake ids survived by his wife, Evelyn of Reno; son, Michael Chris of Carson City; daughter, Kathy Weist of Fernley; brother, Marvin A. of Tulsa, OK; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
