MINNEAPOLIS: Doris L. Gourley, 73, of Columbia Heights, Minn., died on Wednesday (May 16, 2001) at her home in Columbia Heights.

The funeral will be held at 1 pm on Monday at Werness Brothers Funeral Chapel, 3500 W. 50th St. in Minneapolis. Private interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Sunday at the funeral chapel. Memorials are preferred to North Memorial Hospice or the Humphrey Cancer Center.

Doris L. Gourley was born on Nov. 7, 1927, in Mason City, Iowa, to Elmer H. and Florence (Hollenbeck) DeWitt. She was in retail sales. She had been formerly employed at Unisys and Herberger's.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy; sisters, Iris, Clarice, and Joyce; a brother, Robert; grand-daughter, Katelyn.

She is survived by daughters, Debra (Brian) Young, and Cindy (Bernie) Krzykwa; son Kelley (Patty); grandchildren, Adam and Aaron Young, Jennifer Krzykwa, and Jessica and Michael Gourley; sister, Blanche Cline; brothers, Kenneth and Francis DeWitt. Obit: Mason City Globe Gazette (19 May 2001)
