Louise Annabel Yager Bear, 82, of Haymarket, passed away at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at the Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.

Mrs. Bear was born in Page County on May 18, 1929. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Mattie Jones Yager.

She was predeceased by her husband, Glenwood J. Bear, on Sept. 11, 2011, as they approached their 60th wedding anniversary. They had spent a number of years living in Florida prior to returning to Virginia.

She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer High and friend, Ray Parsons, Woodbridge; and two sons, Stephen and wife, Joyce, Bradenton, Fla., Paul and wife, Jane, of Annandale. She also is survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Surviving siblings are sisters, Paulina (Polly) Yager Campbell and husband, Loren, of Shenandoah, Joyce Yager Elkins and husband, Charles, of Luray; and one brother, Dennis Paul Yager and wife, Hilda, of Stanley. She also left a number of nieces and nephews.

On Oct. 31, her son, Kim Bear, 56, of Haymarket, died at the University of Virginia Hospital.

Kim is survived by a son, Joseph Bear of Texas, and a daughter, Cheyenne Jones of Bealeton.

A dual graveside service will be held in Luray at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens, conducted by Pastor Frank Good on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 11 a.m.

The immediate family will return to the church of her childhood, Bethlehem Christian, where they will privately "celebrate her life." Louise, along with her parents and siblings were active participants of this church, which was co-founded by her great-grandfather, George W. Yager.
