David married Mary Ann McCutchen {Mary Ann was the daughter of Samuel C, McCutchen and Martha Sloss} December 1830 in Simpson County and they had six known children; William Samuel, Mary Ann, David Sylvanus, Catherine E., George W., Foster C., Milton B., and Rice R. Harris. William Samuel and Milton B. are thought to be their sons because of when they were born and they are buried in the same family cemetery with David Rice Harris, that is on the Samuel C. McCutchen farm.
