Ambrose was the son of William M. and Nancy Highsmith Harris. he married Susan E. Neely and they had seven known children. His Memorial says that he was born1804 because that is what his tombstone says, but in 1850 he had had his birthday and his age was listed as 45 that would make him born in 1805, his wife was 42. In 1860 he had had his birthday and he was listed as 56 and his wife as 52. DAVID RICE HARRIS, HIS BROTHER WAS BORN IN 1804 so I feel that even with the stone 1804 he was born in 1805.
