Rose Ellen, may have been named Rosellen, was born in Bountiful, Utah to Lavern Bidwell and Ransom Osborn Hatch. She was a twin. Her twin sister was Rosetta. Rose Ellen married Brigham Claud Ward December 18, 1879 in Salt Lake City. They moved to Skull Valley, Utah in January 1880. They stayed there 4 years farming. They had two children, Rose Ella and Daniel Claud. The family moved to Sandy, Utah about April 25, 1884. Rose Ellen and Daniel were very sick. Rose Ellen died March 20, 1885 of tuberculosis. She is buried in the Sandy City Cemetery.
