Richard Ford Hatch, 84, 1019 West 5th South, Woods Cross, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, at his home of a heart ailment.

He was born Mar. 13, 1876 in Woods Cross, the son of Ransom and Emma Ford Hatch. He married Grace Passailaique Jan. 7, 1906, in Woods Cross.

He was a retired Phillips Petroleum employee and a former sheepman. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include his widow; one son and two daughters, Ford Hatch, Bountiful; Mrs. Leonard (Eliese) Roberts, Ogden; and Mrs. Donald L. (LaVon) Smith, Woods Cross; nine grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Lilly Eldredge, Woods Cross.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Union Mortuary chapel where friends may call Friday evening or Saturday prior to the services.

Burial will be in the Bountiful Memorial Park.
