Son of the late Shuman L. and Mattie Allison Clary.
A veteran of the Army, serving in the Korean War; retired from Greenville Sheet Metal; was a member of White Plains Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters, Barbara Clary Gregory, Jane Clary Melton, and Susan Clary Dunaway; brothers, Louis Edward Clary (1920–2004) and Doyle Lloyd Clary (1921–2008); 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased also by his brother, J D Clary (1915–1975); and sister, Frances Clary Hamilton (1918–1998).
Graveside service held at 3:30 PM, Sunday, July 8, 2001, in Graceland Cemetery, West.
Visitation was help from 7:00 - 8:30 PM, Saturday, July 7, 2001, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
