M. Eleanor Northrup, age 77, of 1200 Lincoln, in Bellingham, WAshington, passed away Friday January 12, 1979. Mrs. Northup was a retired cook at the Ridgefield School District in Ridgefield, Washington. She had resided in this community since 1970 after spending 46 years in Ridgefield, Washington. She attended the Silver Beach Community Church in Bellingham and was a member of the Ridgefield Community Methodist Church in Ridgefield.
She and her husband Edison had been married since February 14, 1926. She is also survived by son Dean E. Northup of Springfield, Oregon, and 2 daughters, Mrs. Ben (Carol) Cain of Bellingham, Washington and Mrs. Marvin (Joyce) Harris of Rockport, Washington, 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, brother Louis Hascall of Eugene, Oregon, sister Daphna Merkling of Pendleton, Oregon, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted by Pastor Paul Quenzer on Thursday January 18th, 1979 at the Ridgefield Community Methodist Church in Ridgefield, Washington. Burial followed in the Valley View cemetery, Ridgefield, Washington. Donations may be made to the Silver Beach Community Church Building Fund in Bellingham, Washington.
