Faye E. Arnold, 98, of Lebanon, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, in Lebanon. She was born Oct. 14, 1911, in Iberia, Mo. to Oliver and Annie Newhart Abbet. On Aug. 3, 1934, she married Claude Arnold, who preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1986. She also was preceded in death by her parents.

She was an elementary school teacher for 31 years and taught 26 years in the third grade at Adams and Donnelly schools in Lebanon. She was a member of First Congregational Church United Church of Christ in Lebanon and also Chapter EO of PEO.

Survivors include a daughter, Annabelle Bohannon and her husband, Jim, of Montgomery Village, Md.; a son, Dr. Robert Arnold and his wife, Juanita, of Lee's Summit; a sister, Prue Humphrey McKee and her husband, Jennings, of Iberia; three grandchildren, Allison Arnold Rife, Elizabeth Smith and Eric Arnold; also two great-grandchildren, Emily Ann Arnold and Jared Rife.

A memorial service for Faye E. Arnold will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, in the Community Room of Terrace Apartments of Christian Health Care South with the Rev. Ellen Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Iberia City Cemetery, under the direction of Shadel's Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Friends may call at their convenience.

Memorials have been established to First Congregational Church of Lebanon or Cottey College Class of 1964 Library Fund. Donations may be left at Shadel's Colonial Chapel.
