"Mrs. Anna E. McCartney, 56, died of a coronary thrombosis early Tuesday morning at her East Main street home. She had been ill the past month. Mrs. McCartney was born in Coalburg July 17, 1889, a daughter of Madison and Emma Powers, and had resided here the past 15 years. She leaves her husband, Leroy E., whom she married Jan. 1, 1908; four daughters, Mrs. Chester Schlegel of Canfield, Mrs. Arthur Hult of Canfield, Mrs. Leonard Hult of Cleveland, and Miss Joyce McCartney at home; three sons, Ellis McCartney of Orlando, Fla., S. 1/c Arlis McCartney, of Seattle, Wash., Marine Pvt. Richard McCartney of Parris Island S. C., two sisters, Mrs. Grace Styers of Cornersburg, Mrs. Mary Lauver of Youngstown, and eleven grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Williams Funeral Home."
