Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Comer of Floris celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, August 10 at their home in Floris, with their son Ira, wife, and grandson, Wayne being with them for dinner.
Dora Christy and A.B. Comer were married August 10, 1889, at Bloomfield by the Reverand Mose Downing. They went to housekeeping on the Charles Daugherty farm east of Floris, working for Mr. Daugherty for several years, and living on different farms in the Floris community, until buying a farm of 80 acres five miles northeast of Floris in 1913, which they still own and made their home until moving to Floris in 1926 to their present home.
