IRA COMER
Ira Comer, 90, Floris, died at his home Wednesday. He was a farmer and carpenter.
He was born in Davis County near Floris on October 23, 1892 to Abija and Dora Christy Comer. He was a lifetime resident of Davis County and a member of Woodsmen of America.
He married Anna Wickline in 1914 in Princeton, Missouri. She died in 1 974.
Survivors include a son, Sidney of Floris; four sisters, Laura Wolf of Shell Rock, Cuba Radcliff and Daisy Kerran, both of Des Moines, and Cleo Farmer of Cedar Rapids; one brother, Verbal of Des Moines; and Don Baker of Ottumwa, who was raised in their home.
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Wagler Funeral Home, conduct ed by the Rev. Bernard Tucker. Burial was in the Pierce Cemetery near Floris.
A memorial has been established to the Iowa Diabetes Association.
