In Memory card for Mrs. Georgia Frances Sheeler-- Mrs. Ralph E. Sheeler--Georgia Francis, Mrs. Ralph E. Sheeler of Wesley Acres, Des Moines, Iowa, a longtime resident of Jasper and Marion Counties, died at 5:20 a.m., May 4th, 1976 at the Retirement Home at the age of eighty-one years.
Georgia Frances was the daughter of George F. and Ulissia (Tool) Marshall, born September 29th, 1894 at Monroe and was educated in the Jasper County schools. She was a graduate of Monroe High School and was a rural school teacher for twenty-some years.
She was married to Ralph E. Sheeler on September 29th, 1933 and resided on a farm in Marion County until the time of his death in 1968. She then spent some time with her sister in Wyoming before moving to Wesley Acres.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Eva M. Beamer of Torrington, Wyoming, and two brothers: James R. and Hubert Marshall, both of Monroe and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Sheeler was preceded in death by her parents, husband and four sisters: Mrs. Florence Hasselman, Mrs. Beatrice Balmer, Mrs. Winifred Beamer, and Miss Ada Marshall.
Mrs. Sheeler was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church having transferred her membership from Tool's Chapel after it closed.
services: Thursday, May 6th 1976 at united Methodist Church, Monroe, Iowa.
Interment: Silent City Cemetery, Monroe, Iowa.
