Patrick D. Kelley, 81 of North Little Rock, passed away Wednesday April 7, 2004. He was born in Steele, Missouri. Mr. Kelley joined the Army Air Corp during World War II, serving in Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. While stationed in England, he met his wife of 56 years, Gwen Kelley who preceded him in death in 2002. After leaving the service in 1946 he returned to the states to join his father, Fred Kelley, in business owning and operating McCollum-Kelley Lumber Company until retiring in1994. He continued to work a small farm in Cato until 2003. Mr. Kelley was an avid sportsman all of this life and an active member of the Central Arkansas Field Trial Association. He was also a member for the First United Methodist Church, of North Little Rock since 1947.

Mr. Kelley is survived by his two sisters, Marjorie Vickrey Carl and Frances Dean, as well as a daughter Karen M. Smith and son Michael P. Kelley and their children Stephen D. Smith, Katherine E. Kelley, and Elaine V. Kelley.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, April 12, 2004, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel (791-7400), with Brother Earl Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Arkansas State Veteran Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2004. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home.
