Joseph Andrew Andy Sitz, 78, of Paris died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at his home. Services are scheduled for 2PM Thursday, February 4 at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Jeffcoat officiating. Music is to be provided by a niece and nephew. Burial follows in Evergreen Cemetery. The family receives friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
He was the son of George W. and Myrtle Shepherd Sitz, born July 6, 1931 in Fannin County. On March 1, 1954, he married Betty McIntire, building 55 years of memories. He worked 25 years as an auto and truck mechanic for Ideal Baking Company, then Skidmore Trucking, and at the time of his retirement he was with Dalworth Trucking. He loved being outside and was an avid outdoorsman. A Baptist by faith, he was baptized at Graham Street Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Eldon Sitz, Charles Sitz and Glen Hindman; two sisters, Joyce Smith and Linda Boehme and a brother-in-law, Richard McIntire and wife, Patty. Survivors include his wife; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of Paris, Royse City and Rockwall, numerous nieces and nephews, including two nieces who he thought of as his own along with a host of friends. Casket bearers will be Wylie Webb, Richard Kenneth McIntire, Terry Sitz, Tommy Crostley, Kyle Sitz and Ben Ramsey.
