She was born June 25, 1907 in Brock, PA to the late George Franklin and Sarah Ann Connor Headley.
Mrs. Wright was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waynesburg. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, Daughters of Ruth Sunday School Class, The Quilters Group of the Church and the Church Choir. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge, James Farrell American Legion Post #330 Womens Aux., and the Women of I.O.O.F and 3 Links. She was a graduate of Waynesburg High School Class of 1926. She was a homemaker.
Her husband, R. Clovis Wright, whom she married December 19, 1928 died November 24, 1978. Surviving are 3 daughters: Sheila (William) Black of Avella, PA, Kathy (Valdemar) Perez of Austin, Texas, Susie (William) Nassis of Waynesville, N.C.; 4 sons; Richard L. Wright of Houston, Texas, William E. Wright of Waynesburg, PA, Gerald (Phyllis) C. Wright of Barberton, Ohio, and P.J.(Carol) Wright of Bethel Park, PA; 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wright was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are 4 sisters; Gertrude (Luther) Riffle, Pauline (Enoch) Phillips, Hazel Headley, and Florence Headley; 4 brothers; Byron (Olive) Headley, Fred (Irene) Headley, Stanley(Etta) Headley, and Albert (Vada) Headley.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Wednesday Sept. 18, 2002 at the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Waynesburg and from 10:00AM to 11:00AM Thursday Sept. 19th the hour of service at the First United Methodist Church Richhill st. Waynesburg, PA Rev. John Phipps officiating. Burial will be at the Greene Mount Cemetery, Waynesburg.
