FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR LAVINA REIFENRATH
Funeral services for Lavina Reifenrath, 75, St. James, were held Monday, Feb. 25, 10:30 a.m. at Ss. Philip and James Catholic Church, St. James with the Rev. Wayne Schlautman officiating.
Burial was in the parish cemetery with Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington, Neb., in charge of arrangements. Visitations were scheduled for Sunday, 1-6 p.m. at the funeral home with a Rosary service at the church in St. James, 8 p.m. Sunday.
She was born Jan. 11, 1905, in St. James to John G. and Julia H. Reifenrath and died Friday, Feb. 22 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton. She was a resident of Hartington and St. James all her life, except from 1946-1958 when she was a housekeeper for the Rev. John Brock, Elkhorn, Neb.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and the St. James Altar Society.
Survivors include seven sisters Mrs. Mary Gerleman, St. James; Sister Aelreda Reifenrath, O.S.B., Salem, S.D.; Francis (Rosalia) Wieseler and Mrs. Louis (Barbara) Wieseler, both of Rochester, Minn.; Mrs. Vincent (Beatrice) Walter, Aurora, Ill.; Mrs. John (Agatha) Goeden, Fordyce, Neb. and Mrs. Angela Gubbels, Randolph, Neb.; two brothers Alphons and Joseph F. both of St. James.
Pallbearers were LeRoy Goeden, Gary Walters, Ronald Wieseler, Gerald Wieseler, Daniel Gubbels and Thomas Reifenrath.
