Stu Garrison was a wonderful family man - kind, warm, consistent. He cared about you and for you. A numbers man, who calculated death probabilities as an actuary for Union Central Life Insurance, 4th St., downtown Cincinnati. Perhaps that's why he elected to retire early when a health issue arose, and he was prescient in making that decision. I still miss him, and he's been gone quite a few years now. He was always there to chat on the phone Sunday afternoons, about the Bengals football results or about the UC Bearcats games. I still see him, in my mind's eye, I guess they call it, whether out at Cleves Warsaw or later down on that 550 E. Fourth St. patio with the stone dogs (grey cement perhaps)--at each doorway, welcoming his family and friends always. He was a masterful turkey carver, at every family dinner and holiday feast.
