Born Marie LaVaughn Scholl, she did not ever use her first name of Marie. In my 2005 patriots draft letter I wrote:"LaVaughn SCHOLL Garrison (1898-______), DAR #214262, joined the DAR on 14 June 1925 on Johan Peter SCHOLL line. My notes say her chapter was 4107 Ohio. I later found out that she joined the Cincinnati Chapter, DAR, which was the same chapter her mother in law, Ellen Hardin Poole Garrison also joined I believe the following year in 1926. So it seemed as though LaVaughn joined first."
