Lloyd Bollinger, age 86, of McCreary County Home Health Facility in Pine Knot, Kentucky passed away Saturday, April 18, 1998 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.
He was born in Farmington, Illinois on February 13, 1912, son of James and Emma Handley Bollinger. Both parents preceded him in death.
He married Velma Ruth Morris who survives.
He is survived by 3 children: Barbara Jean Ellidge, Wanda L. Vaughn, and Jane Vaughn, all of Montcello, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 brothers: Gene Bollinger of California and Bob Bollinger of Farmington, Illinois; 4 sisters: Bernice Williams of Ipava, Illinois; Edna Caulvin, Eileen Wilcox, and Juanita Hartzog, all of Farmington, Illinois.
Preceding him in death are 2 children: Ruth Erlene Bollinger and Georgia Lee Bollinger; 5 brothers: Delbert, Wilson, James Jr., Hubert and Clarence Bollinger; 4 sister: Catherine Downard, Edith Wiker, Ruby Bohanon, and Wanda Bollinger.
He was a retired coal miner.
