John Eckstorm was the coach of the Ohio State University Football team from 1899-1901. He resigned after the death of OSU football player John Sigrist from injuries suffered during a football game in 1901. He later worked as a physician. He died in Marysville, Union, Ohio in 1964 at age 92.
