Oliver David Iveson 90 of Silver Springs died in a Reno Hospital Friday.
A native of Wisconsin he moved to Montana as a child and in 1900 moved to Cederville, Calif. where he raised and broke and ran horses. In 1901 he moved to Gerlach and went into ranching at Red Mountain Land and Livestock company. He moved to Beowawe in 1927 and ran the Anderson Ranch.
Returning to Gerlach in 1931 he homesteaded a ranch and continued ranching and mining until 1944. Later he moved to Silver Springs and was active in mining until recently.
Survivors includes daughters Ivy Jackson of McMinville Ore, and Violet Bristow of Lodi, Sons Evelyn of Sparks, Joseph of Reno, David of Gerlach; Thomas of Loveland and James of Cederville, Calif. 26 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held 2.30 pm Monday at the Ross burke and Knobel Mortuary with the Rev. John Petrausch of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery.
