Jim (Aggie) Maxfield

Funeral services for Jim (Aggie) Maxfield, 75, of Temple will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Loudin officiating. Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park.

Mr. Maxfield died Friday in a Temple Nursing Home.

Mr. Maxfield was born in Temple to Ocie K. Maxfield and Maude Thompson Maxfield. He graduated from Temple High School where he was Class President for four years. He also played on the state football team in 1951 and 1952. He married Naray (Pud) Lee in 1955. He graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science and was a Licensed Funeral Director. He owned and operated Temple Floral for two years. He lived in Dallas most of his life and moved back to Temple in 2000. He was a sales representative for over 40 years for Pierce Chemical, which is a Funeral Supply Company. He was the head Judge of the Terlingua Chili Cook Off for 10 years. He was a member of the Texas Funeral Directors Association and a member of Taylors Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Pud Maxfield of Temple; one son Bud Maxfield and his wife Julie of Temple; one brother Jerry Maxfield and his wife Theda of Temple; four grandchildren Erin Russell and her husband Todd of Temple, Jenna Maxfield of Temple, Taylor Maxfield of Temple and Brynn Maxfield of Temple and one great grandchild Benjamin James Russell of Temple.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Sunday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home.
