Walter J. "Buzz" Straiton Walter J. "Buzz" Straiton, 61, of Field Road, Danbury, devoted husband of Marguerite "Marnee" (Jones) Straiton, died at Danbury Hospital on Monday, January 11th. He was born in Danbury, on January 2, 1949, son of Rose (Valluzzo) Straiton of Danbury, and the late Walter J. Straiton, Jr. He was a graduate of Henry Abbott Technical School, Class of 1966. Buzz worked as a building inspector for the City of Danbury for 16 years. He also served our community as a firefighter for the Danbury Fire Department Headquarters. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Danbury, was a member of the Henry Abbott Technical School Alumni Association, and volunteered at the Danbury Historical Society. Buzz was known as the family "handyman," using his many talents. He enjoyed studying and researching the Straiton Family genealogy. In addition to his mother, Rose, and his beloved wife, Marnee, he will be sadly missed by his son, Daniel J. Straiton and his wife, Jennifer of Sandy Hook; his daughter, Melissa Tohill and her husband Bill of Monroe; and his four grandchildren, Ryan and Brianna Straiton, Abigail and Olivia Tohill. He is also survived by his sisters, Celeste Waters and her husband, Calvin of Bethel, Lisa Peck and her husband, Arthur of Rochester, NH; as well as several nieces and nephews. His prize possessions were his wife, Marnee, son, Daniel, daughter, Melissa, grandchildren, Brianna, Abigail, Ryan and Olivia and daughter-in-law, Jennifer, and son-in-law, Bill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 15th at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
