...went to Ohio in 1831 and settled in Delaware Co.; remained about twenty years, then, by 1857, they had moved to Iowa and settled in Jones Co; now owns 105 acres, and has made the improvements. Married Eunice Margaret Grist in Ohio in 1832, and they have had eleven children, nine living-Maria J., John, Mary, Clark, Melinda, Sarah, Anna, James, Howard, George and Helen. He has been School Director, Road Supervisor and Trustee of the Dimond Church.
