Services for Loreta Pierce, age 85 of Lubbock will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at Resthavens Abbey Chapel with Rev. Jerry Howe officiating.

Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home. She passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2003 in Levelland. She was born on December 9, 1917 in Dennison, Texas. She married Orben Anderson in 1935, he preceded her in death in 1956. She then married Arthur Pierce in 1965, he preceded her in death in 1989. She was a nurse at Highland Hospital and retired after 25 years of service. She had been a Lubbock resident since 1959, and was a Baptist by faith.

She is survived by two sons, Frank Anderson of Levelland, and Jerry Anderson of Aransas Pass; three sisters, Hazel James, Veda Fontaine, and Clota Waters, all of Lubbock; one brother Dale Akin of Fort Worth; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
