She was born Jan. 13, 1915, in Denison. She married Oldham B. Wright on Dec. 1, 1931, in Clovis, N.M. She was a member of Eastern Star in Abernathy. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Wolfforth.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Sylvia Mitchell of Wolfforth and Yvonne Heath of Abernathy; a brother, Dale Akins of Fort Worth; four sisters, Hazel James, Vada Fontaine, Loreta Pierce and Clota Waters, all of Lubbock; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
