She is the former Emma Gross Born Dec. 25, 1914, in Schulz, Russia, daughter of the late Gottfried and Katarina Gross.
She was a 1940 graduate of Kiel High School.
On Sept. 11, 1945, she married Roy Steinhardt at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Kiel.
She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Kiel; Women's Guild and the Kiel Historical Society. Emma enjoyed sewing, gardening, quilting and embroidery.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Roy; four children, Patricia Steinhardt, Racine, Michael (Connie) Steinhardt, Kiel; Dennis (Karen) Steinhardt, West Bend and David Steinhardt, Washington, D.C.; three grandchildren, Lindsey, Harrison and Hayden; three brothers, Harvey (Arliss) Gross, Harry (June) Gross and Harland (Evelyn) Grosshuesch, all of Sheboygan; three sisters, Gloria (LeRoy) Milz, Marion Hass, Sheboygan and Deloris (Robert) Cummins, Calif.; further survived by other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Kiel, with the Rev. Raymond C. Coombs, officiating. Burial will be in Kiel City Cemetery. Friends may call at the CHURCH, on Sunday, from 2 p.m. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Organ Chancel Fund at St. Peter's UCC.
Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, Kiel, is in charge of arrangements.
