Alyce E. Steinhardt, 86, of 79 Dewey St., Apt. A, Kiel, died Wednesday morning, June 21, 200 at her home.
She is the former Alyce Kuester born May 14, 1914 in Kiel, a daughter of the late Christian and Bertha Voelker Kuester. She attended Kiel Schools. On Sept. 18, 1937 she married Alfred Steinhardt. He preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 1994. Alyce was a clerk at the former Christel's Department Store in Kiel, and also a clerk at Evans 5 & 10 Store in Kiel. She loved to play cards, bowl and be with her many friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (Allen) Steffen; eight grandchildren, four great Grandchildren; one brother, Bill Kuester of Kiel and two sisters, Leona Hartmann of Walworth, Wis., and Florence (Edwin) Temme of Howards Grove.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Christian Kuester; three sisters, Edna Kuester, Adalia Hochrein and Ruth Hecker, and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at St. Peer's United Church, Kiel with the Rev. Raymond C. Coombs officiating. Burial will be in the Kiel City Cemetery.
