Walter Kuester January 1987

Walter Kuester, 84, of 121 Paine St., Kiel, died Friday evening at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, where he had been a patient the past three days. Born May 14, 1902, in Sheboygan, a son of Christian and Bertha Voelker Kuester, he attended Kiel schools. On July 9, 1927 he married the former Florence Greve at St. Peter United Church of Christ in Kiel. The observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1977. Mr. Kuester was an electrician for Kretch Bros. of Kiel, and from 1952 until retirement for Neumann Plumbing and Heating, Inc., of Howards Grove. He was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ in Kiel, and the Kiel Order of the Redmen.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Keith of Spokane, Wash., and Warren of Kiel; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Carol) Groh of Manitowoc, and Mrs. Warner (Judith) Prange of Kiel; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild; a brother William of Kiel; and four sisters, Mrs. Florence Temme of Howards Grove, Mrs. Alice Steinhardt of Kiel, Mrs. Leona Hartmann of Marengo, Ill., and Mrs. Ruth Hecker, Manitowoc. A son, two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services were Monday at Meiselwitz Funeral Home in Kiel, with the Rev. John Baumann, pastor of St. Peter United Chruch of Christ in Kiel, officiated. Cremation followed the service.
