Oliver Schwartz, 57, of Howards Grove, died Sunday afternoon at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born Oct. 3, 1914, in the Town of Meeme, he was a son of the late John and Louise Oemichen Schwartz. On Dec. 7, 1940, he married Lucille Gartzke at New Holstein. He was employed at Schultz Sav-O Stores for 24 years until illness forced his retirement in 1971.
Survivors are his wife; a son, Wayne, Sheboygan; two daughters, Mrs. Hugo (Kathleen) Litersky, Port Washington, and Mrs. James (Jeanne) Kopecky, Laurel, Md.; a brother, Allen Schwartz of Kiel; two sisters, Mrs. Willard (Flora) Herzog and Mrs. Harvey (Lorena) Wagner, both of Sheboygan, and six grandchildren. Four brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove, the Rev. John F. Potratz, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Kiel Cemetery.
