He was the husband of Assunta DiZacomo Toto, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.
Born in Chieti, Italy, he was a son of the late Gasperino and Filomena Di Girolamo Toto.
Giuseppe was the founder and owner of Toto Mushrooms for over 26 years in Avondale.
He was a member of Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Church in West Grove.
He enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and most of all, spending time with his family.
Survivors include, in addition to his wife; three sons: Remo and his wife, Diane, of New London, Luigi of Cochranville, Justin and his wife, Mary, of Harrisburg; three daughters: Maria Drumheller and her husband, Donald, of West Grove, Nancy Austin and her husband, Lewis, of Deer Lodge, Tenn., and Rosalia DiBenedetto and her husband Michael of Wilmington, Del.; two sisters: Concetta Pieragostini of New York, N.Y., Anna Toto of Chieti, Italy, two half brothers: Antonio and Enio Toto of Italy, four half sisters: Ginetta, Adalgisa, Giulia and Annamaria; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two sons: Gino and Gabriele, one grandson, Eric, five brothers, and four sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Friday, Oct. 21, at the Assumption BVM Church, 300 State Road, West Grove.
Friends and family may call from 9 to noon before the service.
Entombment will be in Cathedral Cemetery in Wilmington, Del.
