DAUGHTER MAKES CLAIM TO ESTATE
Mrs. Roeber Says Father Promised Her $1250 but Died Suddenly
Claims for $1250 for services she says she rendered as housekeeper has
been filed against the estate of the late John C. Mueller of Kiel by a
daughter, Mrs. Bertha Roeber and if a contest is made by heirs, who are
given the estate by the will, litigation will result. Mrs. Roeber says
that her father promised to pay her the sum before his death and had the
money in readiness but died suddenly before payment had been made.
Another daughter received a little sum and for this reason the names of
the two were omitted from the will disposing of the property. Mr.
Mueller, whose death occurred very suddenly several months ago,
conducted a hotel and saloon at Kiel and was well known. There is a
possibility that the claim filed by Mrs. Roeber will not be contested it
is said.
