MYTON, Duchesne County - Andrew Tolboe, 73, died Monday at his home in Myton after a lingering illness.
Born August 30, 1876, in Randeres, Denmark, he was a son of Christian P. and Dorothea Summerfell Tolboe. Mr. Tolboe came to the United States in 1883 as a convert of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He first settled in Sandy, moving to Myton in 1917, where he farmed for a number of years, then established a mercantile store he ran for the rest of his life.
Oct. 10, 1907, he married Fannie L. Crapo in Moab. They were later married in the Manti temple of the LDS church. Mr. Tolboe had been an active worker in the LDS Cchurch and had served several terms as a councilman in Myton.
Survivors include, besides his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Wood, Myton; Mrs. Dorothea Hall and Mrs. Freida Benson, Englewood, Cal.; a son, A. C. Tolboe, Myton; a sister, Mrs. Eliza Mickleson and a brother, Mr. Anton Tolboe, Grass Valley, Cal., and another brother, Amos Tolboe, Redmond, Sevier county, Utah.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Myton LDS chapel, with interment in the Myton City cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dillman mortuary Wednesday afternoon and at the family residence Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of services. Cyril Dennis, LDS bishop will preside.
