Funeral services for B.F. Coons, 80, were held at the Chester Church of Christ Saturday afternoon, April 17th. Mr. Coons, a World War I veteran, had been in ill health for some time. He died April 4 at the Nebraska Veterans Home in Grand Island where he had been living the past month.
Maurice Graham of Belleville and Jim Blake, ministers, conducted the service. Mrs. Wilbert Crouse and Mrs. Jim Blake sang, accompanied by Mrs. Ray Truss. Casketbearers were Walter Torring, Lee Larkins, Frank Larkins, Joe Hunt, Ervine Rieke, Homer Redenbo. Interment was in the Chester Cemetery, Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
