LeRoy Coons Rites Wednesday LeRoy Coons, 89, a retired farmer who lived at 426 West Main, died in the Sterling hospital Monday, May 27.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 29 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Coons was born Jan. 25,1885, in Nemahan Neb. a son of
John and Amanda Zook Coons.
He married Frances Irene Walgun on March 29, 1924 in
Golden. He had moved to Willard in 1917 where he farmed until moving to Sterling in 1963. Survivors include his widow, a brother, Floyd Coons and a sister, Mrs. Della Kavanaugh, both of Belleville, Kan., and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at the Jones Chapel, until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
