Arvin G. Kletzien, 77, of 1407 Wisconsin Avenue, New Holstein, a retired Town of Schleswig farmer, died Monday at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton.
He was born November 29, 1901, in the town of Schleswig, son of Otto and Anna Heidemann Kletzien. He attended district School. On June 30, 1930, he married Myrtle Radandt at Waukegan, Illinois. They lived in Sheboygan for five years before moving to the Kletzien Homestead farm in the town of Schleswig, which they operated until their retirement in 1967. The couple then moved to Manitowoc, and in August 1979, to New Holstein.
Survivors are his wife; a son, Robert of Green Bay; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Prange of Sheboygan; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral services will be held at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel. The Reverend Hilbert Klein, pastor of Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Town of Schleswig, will officiate. Burial will be in Kiel Cemetery.
