Canton, IL - Lloyd E. Snowden, 83, of Canton passed away Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, at Heartland Health Care Center.
Lloyd was born October 16, 1926 in Vermont, the son of Emmett and Helen (Derry) Snowden. He married Wanda L. Bushnell on April 16, 1948 in Astoria, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Bruce A. (Jessica Schroeder) Snowden and Mark J. (Robin) Snowden; three grandchildren, Julie Anne Browne, Hope Isabella Snowden, and Joshua Cole Snowden; and two sisters, Lois (Jerry) Meehan and Doris Connolly.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Jimmy Snowden.
Lloyd attended Western Illinois University and the University of Illinois. He worked at International Harvester Co. in Canton retiring with 35 years service. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Canton and was a US Army Air Corps veteran.
Burial will be in Astoria Cemetery in Astoria.
