She is the daughter of Marcus Lafayette Hall and Harriet Lee Gann. When her father Marcus died before 1850 in DeKalb co., Mo. her mother Harriet Gann Hall married her deceased sister's (Caroline Gann Snead) husband Oglsby Snead in 1852 in DeKalb co., Mo. they then moved to Buchanan co., Mo.
When Arminda died she was raising two granddaughters Pearl Edna Ritchie (my grandmother) and her sister Ethel Ritchie the daughters of her son James and his wife Cora Lucy Cox Ritchie both deceased. Their brother Floyd Ritchie was living with Cora's stepmother Sarah Jane Lansaw Cox.
I have been able to find all the children of Wm JJ and Arminda except for one, their eldest dau. Francis R Ritchie that married Charles Meadows in 1879 and died abt 1898. In the 1900 census Georgia Meadows their daughter age 16 was living with Wm JJ and Arminda, her brother Charles Meadows was living with his father in St. Joseph.
Wm JJ and Arminda seem to have been caring and loving parents and grandparents, am sorry I never met them.
