Mrs. Arlene E. Bingham, 78, Topeka, died Mon., Dec. 21, 2009, at Aldersgate Village. She was born Dec. 14, 1931, in Ness City, the daughter of Roy C. and Frances E. (Whitson) Corrigan.
Arlene graduated from Garden City High School in 1950. She was a homemaker, living in Topeka since 1954. She was a Child Evangelism Fellowship teacher for many years.
Arlene was married to Neville B. Bingham on April 9, 1950, at Garden City. He preceded her in death on June 7, 2001.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Stephen P. Bingham, on April 26, 2009.
Surviving are 2 daughters: Diana R. Wagner of Topeka, and Vicky L. Swaim (Richard) of Silver Lake; 3 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Wed., Dec. 23, 2009, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence, Topeka.
Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Arlene will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Tues., at the funeral chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.
