Clarence Davis, age 92, died Tuesday, April 19 1988 at Houston Community Hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 21 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery with Bro. Wayne King officiating.

The son of the late Lee A Davis and the late Delia Frances Davis, he was born in Chickasaw County. He was a member of Arbor Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruth Wheeler Davis of Houston; one daughter, Mrs. Mavorlene Whatley of Blytheville, Arkansas; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Lee Hill of Blytheville, Arkansas, Mrs. Lucille Pumphrey, Mrs. Mae Lyles and Mrs. Juanita Griffin, all of Houston; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Raymond Griffin, Owen Lee (Deedy) Griffin, Joe Blaylock, John Lee Lyles, James Robert Thomas and Rex Pumphrey.

Memorial Funeral Home of Houston, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
