James Lee Thornsberry, 75, Brumley, died Wednesday at his home. He was born September 21, 1916, in Ulman, a son of William E. and Lena Hawkins Thornsberry. He was married January 2, 1938, in Brumley, to Ruth Sullivan, who survives at the home. He had been employed in maintenance with the Missouri Highway and Transportation Department. He was a member of Ulman Christian Church, the Missouri Highway Association and Brumley Lions Club.
Other survivors include: one son, J. Paul Thornsberry, Barnett; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Brumley Christian Church. The Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Hawkins Cemetery, near Brumley. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Hedges Funeral Home, Osage Beach.
