Dosithe was born in Canada and in the 1870s he worked in a mill in Winnepeg, Canada with Peter Laramie (his future father-in-law). He immigrated to Argyle, Marshall County, Minnesota where 151 acres were deeded to him by the U.S. Government. on 30 Apr 1883 (File No. 31388, Patent p. 530, Deed Record #6, Marshall Co., Cert. #2216). Argyle, Marshall Co., MN, Middle River Township (Frenchtown), 1882 school, post office and hardware (incorporated 12/12/1883 at Argyle). He sold out April 1884. He lived in Argyle until 1908, when he moved his family to Tacoma, WA. He had a stroke in 1924 and died ten years later at age 76. His wife Delvina died five years later at age 73. They are buried in Calvary Cemetery, Tacoma, WA.
